Here at Warwick Folk we're passionate about dance, and seek to further the domination of ‘the robot’ in the world of dance. We spread our word in many different guises, including rapper sword dancing, ceilidhs and our weekly dance club, in which the mechanical movements of ‘the robot’ are subtly woven into traditional dance.
It is a common misconception that you have to be made of metal and silicon chips in order to do ‘the robot’. It is our mission at Warwick Folk to dispel these myths.
So please come and dance, all our events are great fun and contrary to the rumors, tasers are rarely used (on people that don’t deserve it).
We are a member of the Dance Collective, a collaboration of dance societies at Warwick University to promote dancing.
