Warwick Uni Rapper Team
Fridays 6-7:30pm in Westwood Music Room 2
Come and join our rapper team and learn a fantastic new and exciting skill. Rapper is a type of sword dancing from Northumberland and County Durham in the north of England; if you have been to one of our ceilidhs then you may have already seen our rapper dancers. A team of five (or sometimes more) dance in a circle holding spring steel ‘rapper’ swords, which they not only make into interesting patterns like the sword lock, but also jump and somersault over them. Rapper is mentally and physically engaging, and traditionally English. And we love it! No previous experience required, just a willingness to learn and have a great time.
